Johan going tomorrow vs our stopper Nelson FREAKING Figueroa...SWEET. Looks like we're playing for the split.
Looks like Blum and Bourgeois will be getting more playing time, at least in the short term. I didn't see how it happened but Kepp is getting an X-ray on what is currently listed as a strained left toe.
JD slipped up and said "Brad Lindstrom." He was actually mixing up Mills' and Lindstrom's names but still kind of funny.
Santana doesn't throw 94-96 anymore. He's between 88-90 AT BEST, and if he doesn't have his change-up working, he's not that good. I hate Lidgstrom, its on him
A bit off topic but Ed Wade gets his revenge on Shawn Chacon. HOUSTON -- The three-person arbitration panel, which last September heard a grievance filed by pitcher Shawn Chacon against the Astros, has denied the player's grievance. Chacon was released by the Astros two years ago after a physical altercation with general manager Ed Wade. The Major League Baseball Players Association filed a grievance on behalf of Chacon and in an attempt to collect the remaining $983,607 on the pitcher's contract. Chacon signed a one-year deal worth $2 million shortly after Spring Training began in 2008. Shyam Das, the chairman of the panel which also included representatives from Major League Baseball and the MLBPA, stated that the Astros were within their rights to terminate Chacon's contract without his entitlement to further compensation after the player attacked and assaulted Wade on June 25, 2008. The Astros received the official written ruling on Monday. "We're pleased with the ruling," Wade said. "It was an unfortunate incident, and we're glad to put it behind us." Chacon was given his unconditional release following the attack, and the team invoked Paragraph 7 (b) (1) of the Uniform Players Contract, which denied the player any further compensation on his 2008 contract. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp...13535822&vkey=notebook_hou&fext=.jsp&c_id=hou
I'm glad Mills made the switch. Lindstrom was really ruining some great efforts by the young guys. I want them to get used to winning, start their careers with a winning culture and attitude, and Lindstrom was messing that up.
It doesn't get any better than that. On a dime. He did have a passed ball earlier in the inning which seems like a minor issue for him to work on.
Figueroa had to work real hard in that inning. Sanchez' poor range and Castro's PB didn't help but his walks and inability to finish off batters didn't help, either.
****!!!!!! I started Santana on my fantasy team I told you'll Santana ain't **** if he doesnt have his change-up working
