Thats what I'm talking about ! It seems they can beat the teams they are not supposed to, and lose to the teams they are supposed to beat . A sweep is a sweep, I'm not complaining .
If only the Astros didn't get swept by the Pirates we might have a legit chance, we have somewhat of a hope now, but I'm willing to bet that our pitching is going to revert back to usual soon.
The same organization that in the last month has taken 2 out of 3 from the Red Sox, Cubs and Brewers. Yeah...they're the worst.
Interesting stat on Loretta from a Richard Justice piece: [Loretta] leads all major league pinch-hitters in batting average (.421) and slugging (.842) and is second in OBP (.478). Mark Loretta is a great hitter.
Did any of you guys know that Robert Horry was there today i sit in section 129 row 31 seat 20 and he was on the first base line around the 3rd or 4th row i got his autograph and met his son no pics though sorry but im sure someone has already said this
and in spite of all that has ZERO top prospects, is still well under .500 and has no chance for post season
He's always been a good contact hitter, but really has heated it up so far this season. Great series sweep by the stros.
*cough, cough* pittsburg pirates. ahh hemm. washington nats. royals. the astros are not the worst org. in baseball. there are many other teams in far worse shape than houston.
he was on a drought before the all-star break also, though i wouldn't rule the derby out completely. that double he hit over beltran might have been out in some other parks.
Career: AVG: .297 OBP: .361 SLG: .399 2008: AVG: .277 OBP: .340 SLG: .404 I wouldn't say he's heated up this year. For the most part, he is hitting well below his career averages other than maybe his subset of PAs as a pinch hitter.
