Poor guy. He is doing so much with so little. If he ever even just had 1 all star player around him then hed be averaging 35,15,15 and have 4 rings.
Ultimately, the real VOTERS will see those videos of Thunder big man running out of the way with their hands up to get Westbrick his triple-D's. Plus I think Harden has more real TRIPLE-Ds in his life than Westbrick.
It's so weird how quickly the narrative changed. Every story on ESPN is about how Westbrook is CLEARLY the MVP. What the ****?
Does him averaging a triple double for the entire season really count if he did it in a game where he didn't get a triple double? Cause triple doubles >>>>>>>>> So don't come at me talking about averaging triple doubles if you didn't get it with a triple double. Also, aren't the Suns currently the worst team in the league?
"Russ silencing critics with season triple-double" Who said Westbrook couldn't get stats, that's literally all he does
ESPN took space on their bottomline to say "OKC shot 2-9 on uncontested shots from Westbrook passes" Get the **** out of here. The free passes and constant justification he gets for everything is unprecedented. Nobody cares that they got blown out by one of the worst teams in the league. Game results mean nothing anymore.
This game is such a perfect tiara on Westbrook's season... 23 points on 25 shots, 12 3Ps at 16%, 8 assists, 8 turnovers, 20 point loss to the worst team in the West. All of the headlines are just cracking me up.
renewed my faith that maybe we can sweep these guys lol. it's not just the media. its fans too. I was reading an article about ulis saying literally all westbrook was trying to do was stat pad a triple double and all the fan comments were "hater" "westbrook mvp, ulis salty" "westbrook's way better than this guy will ever be" "Russ averaged the trip dub. GOAT" at my job I have the james harden texas monthly thing saying MVP hanging up and casual nba fans across the whole company always tease me about it saying "you know westbrook is way better and definitely the mvp."
I get the same thing from my friends. Nuggets fans, Jazz fans, Suns fans. The thing is you have to kind of know the game to know Harden's accomplishments; how his team has beaten expectations, how they are doing versus last year, how Harden's efficiency is very good by comparison to Westbrook. To be swayed towards Westbrook, all you have to do is watch a little Sportcenter and like triple doubles and a guy who plays like he's shot out of a cannon. There's still some hope that the media will split between WB and Harden.
