TOF's cheap cop out on Tracy's NBA decline is saying he's a humanitarian.
I'm sure kick Kris Brown was a great citizen for the Texans, but they dumped him cause he couldn't kick any field goals.

I also noticed some TOFs here seem to not watch the game, but insist he played 'very well'.

after polluting this board on how Tracy scored so many points in meaningless games on horrible teams, isn't it ironic that when he scores zero points, he's still great?

I give credit when it's due. It definitly wasn't a orlando tmac performance, but it did have a lot of positives

Agreed - I'll further say, if he took this approach two years ago (Artest season) when he found he wasn't right (following his knee rehab), I would have been perfectly happy with him. He had a very capable roster around him, but he couldn't let go of his 17+ shots and sacrificed every other facet of his game to force them. What he did in his first game with the Nets was the opposite.

One minute ago I loved him, but now I realize he is terrible at the game of basketball.

You're really annoying and you don't seem to contribute anything to the board. Welcome to ignore

it's still only one game. He might follow Iverson's path to the end of his career or he could be somewhat helpful like Gary Payton at his end.

Well I was pretending that it was a separate instance, but I'm sorry. I really don't like the guy and I think he's bad.

You either have nothing going on in your life or are seriously pathetic.

I'm not a "TOF." I posted that because I thought he did something really nice that is to be commended.

When you start downplaying a man's humanitarian efforts/accomplishments, and the great example they set, for the sake of some stupid-ass argument about basketball, it's time to take a step back.

I mean, Christ, the man built a school in freaking Darfur. That is something to be lauded, not a "cop out," and something he deserves credit for, no matter what you may think of his basketball career.

Don't freaking act like you don't know what's going on.

Sure it's fantastic what Tracy is doing.

#1 this thread is about the regular season for Tracy and the Pistons

#2 you know for a fact TOFs have dropped so much crap here

    a. saying Tmac in Orlando was better than Kobe
    b. if the Rockets lose they say well I wish we got that Tmac in Orlando
    c. Blames Yao when the Rockets lose
    d. blames the role players for when the Rockets lose
    e. blames the coaching, Rick Adelman for instance for his playing time
example: when Tmac had a decent game with the Knicks they piled on here like the Berlin wall just fell, only to find out hat Rick Adelman was correct in his treatment of Tracy

#3 This crap would never happen if it was a Rockets player who sucked this bad

    a. If Aaron Brooks or Kevin Martin drop ZERO POINTS in 2 GAMES, nobody is going to say "Oh he looked very good tonight", they'd be ready to chop off the Rockets like it's bastille day. You know it, everybody knows it.

    b. If Aaron Brooks sucked this bad, would Brooksball drop that Aaron Brooks saved some homeless kids from pitbulls or that he performed CPR on some fat dude at Buffalo Wild Wings? No.

BUT IT's OK to post that about Tracy McGrady in a thread about the regular season when he's not doing well.

NOBODY would post about Tracy's humanitarian effort if he scored 20 points tonight. you'll see

Morey was wrong, RA was wrong, bring Tracy back! blah blah blah

#4 A TOF bet jomama $50 that Tracy would average 15 points a game.
What kind of crap is that? Internet scammers in Nigeria wouldn't even think people are that stupid.

    ...

But thanks for mentioning the humanitarian effort by Tracy. I think I'll make a post about about humanitarian efforts by all NBA players not just ones that people worship for unknown reasons here.
