Over the last 2 years, I haven't seen a player play on Sunday when they didn't practice on Wednesday. Hoyer had a bad enough concussion that he knew something was wrong. It's also a short week. Things don't look likely.

I think you go with Yates but that's because I have never seen Weeden do anything that resembles good QB play... Yates will have his moments but I think he can win a 17-10 game
Huh? Happens all of the time. I don't think Tony Romo has practiced during the week in years. I'm fairly certain Teddy Bridgewater wasn't cleared to play until Saturday just last week...after he was knocked unconscious during the previous game.
I think Bill O'Brien secretly has a goal to win 9 games every season while using 4 or more quarterbacks. He's already up to 3 this season. If he starts Weeden Sunday he's hit that landmark...the winning part is another story.
I'm referring to the Texans... since BOB has been here (but TBH, it was also mostly true in the Kubiak days). Even the weeks Foster has played (since he is one of the few "stars" that doesn't necessarily needs to practice every time).... he practiced on Wednesday. Its just a pretty simple rule of thumb... if a player is out on Wednesday (which is gameplan implementation day), its highly likely they won't play on Sunday.

ok the key matchup is revis on Hopkins. Whoever (let's assume Yates) is throwing the ball to Hopkins must put the ball only in a place Hopkins can get it. Otherwise, it's going to be a long game. Or Yates must throw to checkdown Griffin or Washington. I could see Shorts or Washington having a good game. I expect the running game to be dismal again racking up 80 total yards. D will have to be tough again and play lockdown. Game is winnable especially against Geno Smith who throws a lot of interceptions.
