I was frustrated that he chose to save and eat the 2 timeouts he had left before halftime, instead of giving Watson another play to try and score. We wasted valuable seconds on the clock. This is where I agree with you on clock management, and it is where I find it hard to understand his thinking.
If you are not trying to improve your play calling and decision-making EVERY DAY and Year, then I guess you are the PERFECT person.
Short week division opponent move on to week 3 look at film then burn it cause this was a bad game offensively
On a scale of 1-100 with 100 being a hall of fame coach and 1 being Bill Peterson, how would you rate O’Brien’s game decision making?
Man, it's amazing how much of a struggle it is for this offense to get anything going. Getting to 20 points is a minor miracle. While the running game is working, there seems to be no flow or design for setting stuff up for future plays. It's really one of the most basic, vanilla offenses I have seen, and it sucks because the players for a good offense are there. This is going to be a long season...
I agree with the first part. The 'week to week' pats offense should have stayed with the pats. We have no identity other than wanting to be NE and no brains to attack a blitz. It's a copy cat league. Everyone is going to do it. Though I say the same thing after last season's loss to Tennessee in that thread. Miraculously only the Bills and the Jets decided to do so then the colts picked up on it in their second game. Don't think it will be a long season though unless Savage starts then yeah long season.
4 receptions by our TEs in 2 games is a crime! RBs and TEs are safety blankets against the blitz. It's like I'm on crazy pills. In a game like today's there should have been 13 receptions between Duke and all the TEs.
Holy **** I just saw the jags almost came back at the end . I stopped watching with like 2 min to play figuring that it wasn’t over Bob wanted to win with 13 on offense . He’s a strange dude at times
Does he make decisions or does he flip a coin. There are some thing I don't think I will ever understand
