What? You saw no difference in the fact that Leinart literally checked down every throw before he even let the play develop? Even when Yates WAS allowed to throw (which wasn't often at all in the 2nd half), he showed a propensity to look up-field first. His only drawback was locking onto one receiver, which I think will be fixed as the season goes on. Leinart also put NO zip on the ball whatsoever. It was a rough break for Matt, though. I feel terrible for him.

If this season had a theme song it would either be Comfortably Numb or Eye Of The Tiger.

Tough matchup this week with Atlanta being one of the best run defenses in football.

    ATL 24
    HOU 17

Defense puts up a good fight, but the offense can't come through in the clutch.

    ATL - 21
    HOU - 17

Re: Falcon's on turf. Ryan doesn't do well outside either, so hopefully the roof will be open.

Living in Alabama and losing to the Saints I heard enough of the "Who Dat" chant.

If we don't win then I get to hear the "Dirty Bird" chant for the rest of year. Well I'll show them a dirty bird do da tweetie poo on their face.

As if these aren't the two most annoying franchises in football.

Pretty good chance of rain on Sunday. The roof will be closed.

This is what I don't understand. It's one thing if folks jumped off the bandwagon after the Schaub injury - that was rough. I just don't see what in Leinart's career - or in his performance Sunday - makes expectations any different for TJ Yates. Personally, my expectations are higher.

I'll take Texans 27-17, for the record.

    wow a 10-point win, that's a bold prediction.

I see anything from a 10-point win to a 21-point beatdown. If TJ can complete three or four downfield passes, Foster/Tate should have a little space to do some damage and we might be able to stay on the field long enough to build a lead and keep our D fresh, which will then stymie that just-above-average offense. BUT, if our O bogs down a little bit, it could be a very tight game either way. If the O melts down altogether, no defense can play 40+ minutes without giving up a ton of points.

TJ Yates's biggest fan, here. Go TJ, go. Surprise us all. Please. Please surprise us all.

    One word - experience.

I'm not a Leinart fan at all, but man...he sure is being judged harshly for a quarter and a half of play after a 3 year layoff. No one here thinks he would have eventually improved after a game or two of getting comfortable with the starting role?

Falcons secondary is banged up and I'm oddly optimistic about Yates.

I'm probably going to be more interested in watching Tennessee @ Buffalo.

Last week was encouraging kinda, we actually didn't get blown out by average teams (Cowboys, Dolphins). Bills lost in typical Bills fashion, so that sucked. I think it's back to being blown out due to all these injuries. Hope they help the Texans, but I won't count on it...

Many markets, especially the Northeast and West Texas, have switched to the Denver-Minnesota game. The power of Tebow. Hopefully DFW doesn't switch also.
