That was a strike, should have ended the inning.

I agree with you. It is almost not baseball. I feel bad for their fans.

Having said that, YOU HAVE TO THROW STRIKES!

So Reddick screws James out of an out. Now the ump. Maldonaldo whiffs on a close pitch. James has had enough trouble of his own doing and doesn't need the help.

Is Bud Black on the hot seat? I'd say yes. The Rockies, IMO, are a far more talented team than their record says. IMO his biggest problem has been keeping his starters in for too long. Not just today, but Jon Gray had a game against the DBacks 2 weeks ago where he gave up 5 ER after 3 IP. Bud kept him in for the 4th and he gave up 3 more w/o getting an out. Colorado lost by 2.

Managing the Rockies has to be very difficult.

Having said that..... Black let Marquez give up 10 runs in only 5 innings.... that isn't going to win you any managing awards.

Don't worry, there is some Dominican or Cuban kid that was in their rookie training complex that they can call up to replace him.

They should have already had that kid replace Funny Man.

I might like Toro if he can learn how to run the bases.

Personally, I don't see him destined to be a superstar everyday player. Was never in the Correa/Bregman/Tucker/Alvarez tier of prospects. In addition to his baserunning woes, the eye test shows his arm is weaker than Bregman and Correa, and I also don't care for his discipline/pitch recognition that much. Did not like him not even swinging in the extra inning game vs LA w/ a runner on 3rd and 1 out. Nor him turning a 3-0 count into a 6-pitch K, just as examples. To me his ceiling is great bench player/average starter. Trade bait if we keep Correa long term IMO.

Very nice. Been a good last few days. Rockets up 2-0, Astros continue the W streak.
