Dude is trash. I hope he proves me wrong but he cannot shoot. I would love to eat crow but he can’t even toss his damn clothes in the hamper.
I mean, Thabo and McLemore can't shoot either, at least Clark can play defense and grab some rebounds
He flashed really well today. Watching him, he just looked like he is always doing that "old man, I'm kinda hurting" awkward walk. I hope he continues to contribute and can stay healthy.
Clark definitely earned some more PT after tonight. Is he the answer for a 4/5 off of the bench? Only time will tell.
He made some really good help rotations tonight. You don’t see anyone but House/Tuck really sell out on high effort, high-awareness plays like that.
Not surprised at all. Harden and Paul wanted him to start last season when we were low on bodies, and he produced. He can affect the game without the ball in his hands, and we need that’s badly!
You mean the answer to our problem was sitting right on our bench. IHart is playable, too. Coach makes problems by playing a system and not his players.
Board man gets paid! On a serious note... Gary Clark might be the only player on this roster that could realistically backup PJ and we've got to lower PJ's minutes badly. I'm sure Gary can rebound and hit the corner 3.
I think that gary should be used as a stretch 5 when we're playing another team with a stretch 5 who isn't a mismatch in the post. he guards the perimeter better than Tyson and rotates and helps better, and is definitely better in transition. so against a team like the heat its a good game to experiment with him. it seems that coach kind of gave up on hartenstein when he couldn't finish the dumpoff from russ early on. I wonder how he'd do guarding montrez Harrell.
Guess you don't remember last season when Gary effectively knocked Melo's minutes way down. Only to never be heard of again.
I must congratulate you, Inspector, on handling so distinctive and instructive a case. Your powers, if I may say so without offence, seem superior to your opportunities.
I told others prior to the season that Clark should make the opening day roster, followed by up and down games thru Oct/Nov “if given minutes” followed by noticeable improvement by the end of Dec.....by mid January Clark can be a solid rotation player for the Rockets with less down games (better consistency). Rockets need guys willing to shoot the 3 without hesitation. With the G-league Clark shot 11.8 (3PA’s) per game. 3.5 made 3’s a game.....one more made 3 per game would have brought Clark to 38% from 3. 4.5 (3PM) out of 11.8 (3PA)= 38% Give him Harden/Westbrook opening up space. D’Antoni should have done it sooner; but I tip my cap to him for finally playing the guy. Still not a fan of D’Antoni and don’t anyone mention regular season record while with Houston.....that can correlate with Harden’s presence. Erik Spoelstra (Miami) with LeBron James has a .713 winning percentage in regular season..... .512 winning percentage for regular season without LeBron James (going into this season) since. D’Antoni would probably be at 40% winning percentage without “All-World” James Harden.
