thank god jason garrett was there beside our bench to provide some direction for our players Spoiler lets see who bites
I have a feeling some Mavs fans are going to be super pissed that Jason Garret was smiling ear to ear sitting next to Harden while the Mavs were being beaten.
i liked what he said about basketball. how you're so much closer to the game as a fan versus football
New thread on the Mavs board: Fire Rick Carlisle There's a huge difference between being a great tactician and a great coach. Carlisle is the former, but has no idea how to keep players happy and make them want to play well.
Yep. But apart from that, his teams have underacheived. Here's his playoff record with the Mavs: 2009: Loses in 2nd round to Nuggets, 1-4 2010: #2 seed, loses in 1st round to #7 seed, 4-2 2011: NBA champs 2012: Swept in first round 0-4 2013: missed playoffs 2014: Loses in first round 3-4 2015: Swept in first round 0-4* I'm tired of Carlisle being hailed as a genius. He's a good tactitian, but a very mediocre coach overall. * C'mon, you know it's gonna happen.
Everyone forgets he had Casey and Stotts on that staff too in 2011. He's a good coach but the only genius in the NBA is Pops and even he can be bested by another coach (like Brooks out coached him in 2012 Conference finals).
Hoping the coach fails isn't working out too well for you haters. Another great Rockets win and another excellent coaching job by Coach McHale.
We know what Dallas' starting lineup is going to be the rest of the series. Let's see if McHale does anything about it or stupidly continues to start Jason Terry. The logical thing to do is start Corey Brewer and officially designate Harden as the PG (the change is in the designation only). Put Brewer on Barea and hope he can contain him.
Congrats to the board. I expected the Fire McHale fans to be out in major force after a playoff loss.
Sure did. But that's how the cookie crumbles. Carlisle is getting grief from stupid MFFLs that rightfully belongs to that idiot Mark Cuban because he's the reason they made that awful trade for Rondo. Even here we're posting in a "Fire McHale Thread" and all he's done is: won 56 games without his star center, won the division and the 2nd seed in the Western Conference.
Rick Carlisle is a very good coach, one of the top 5 in the NBA. He is the best coach in the NBA when it comes to spacing on the floor. He is in a tough situation because he has an owner and front office that has made a number of moves that do not necessarily fit his style of play. Kevin McHale deserves his job, and has done an exceptional job this year with the Rockets.... having said that, I would take Carlisle over McHale and 25 other coaches in this league.
He did definitely go more PG in Game 4. Whole offense was out of sorts. Nobody hitting shots. Lack of pick and roll. Less movement. Hopefully it gets adjusted tomorrow.
