Miami treated that game like the nba finals. Took them everything they had to beat 2nd and 3rd string players.
McFail continues to blow as a coach. What a shame we don't have a good coach with the players we have available.
Morey says is not fair that Harden get criticized because Harden runs the offense too much. Moments later, Mchale playing Harden at point guard.
Spoelstra knew how to play the correct players to get a crucial preseason win. What the hell was milk hair doing?
It's like McHale purposely sabotaged the team by not putting in our starters. He wanted Miami to win How does that not get him fired!!!!??!?!???
it was clearly the refs fault. There was easily alot of money to be made on this game and the refs exploited it.
Make jokes all you want, when we get to the playoffs and Harden gets shut down, Howard cannot get his shots and the offense is still this ****..you will HATE the fact McHale was not let go. Just last night on Open Court, Isaiah Thomas said when it comes to Bulls vs. Cavs (paraphrasing): "When you get to the East / West Finals, it's not so much about how you're trying to score, it's about coaches and what play they are calling" and he believes Thibidou has an edge over Blatt.
Reggie Miller adds: coaches make their living in the play-offs, semis and conference and finals it's all about adjustments. Guess Morey does not find winning big that important, coaches only give you 5 wins or 5 losses max right...
Nobody's not denying that Mchale is a bad coach... But come on... Wait until the season gets started before pulling this thread out of the archives... No way can you judge him over a preseason game, this is a players evaluation time. T_Man
While I agree that this is just preseason, you do no need the season to start to know that McHale is a joke of a coach and an embarrassment to the Rockets. His track record, being humiliated with HCA advantage by a lesser known Stotts and his overall incompetency and lack of tactical nous are there for all to see. Same mistakes will come back to haunt us. How many 4th quarter collapses last season even in the playoffs?
Daniels is game ready and McHale knows exactly what he can do. I've seen serious experimentation with lineups the past couple games. The guy has been switching around the lineups about every 3 or 4 minutes. As long as Daniels can still hit the 3 ball, he's going to play a ton of minutes this season. I'm not worried about Daniels getting minutes.
It's not about wins/loses, of course. Neither about rotations. But you can see the team offensive structure is the same as last year. Last year Portland exposed our weak defensive structure; but being the worst defensive playoff team it didn't exposed our offense that much. Probably that will happen this year with a different playoff rival. We're gonna win again around 55 games, defense will improve. Means nothing if you have no real chances of advancing in the playoffs. Rockets are wasting Howard & Harden prime years (two top 10 NBA players) by keeping this coach. I see frustration among fanbase logical and justified.
if DM happens to see this thread whilst searching for new and innovative misspellings of his name -- then the rockets universe has been made a better place. hope is the thing with feathers that unites us all
Daniels was not part of any experimentation, that's why I would be very surprised to see him get solid minutes. Terry is back-up SG, at times PG and Ish seems to get the nod at PG. That's what the rotation so far is saying. If Daniels was seriously considered, why no time along with Terry, Papa and D-Mo or Harden, Ariza, Howard?
he should be fired for not meeting my viewing demands. I really wanted to watch daniels and nicksome play instead i got ish. it's preseason! hold the firing squad!
