The team didn't play great today but that played until the end and got the win. Gotta give them props.
one thing's for sure...no matter how you slice it, this team certainly isn't boring anymore. even when we lose.
I agree, they definitely didn't give up. Nice to see them win one of these, hopefully it will start a trend.
Lost in all the recent frustration is the fact that not too long ago (just a little more than a year), this team was unable to do ANYTHING on offense, and didn't have a single play-maker on the defensive line. Now, while they still have protection issues, they are actually able to drop back and allow the WR's to develop some DECENT routes (as opposed to the dink and dunk/quick-outs offense that was developed due to the lack of any o-line at all). Now, they're facing problems that they've never had the luxury of having before... like dumb turnovers, inability to convert in the red zone, red-zone turnovers... mainly because they were barely able to run simple offensive plays and move the ball, let alone commit turnovers deep in the opponents territory. The offense is pretty fun to watch... Slaton/Green is developing to a pretty potent combo, and AJ could be the best WR in the game by the end of the year. Walter/Daniels are more than serviceable. Brown needs to continue to learn from his miscues at LT (he was owned by Porter), and the team needs to stop making STUPID mistakes... they accomplish this, and this team will be VERY competitive (at least offensively). And one more thing... Mario is simply a beast. If he only had just a little more help up front.
Wow, I will happily eat crow on this one. I didn't think we had a CHANCE after going down 3-14. But I DID keep watching. SOOOOO nice to see us FINALLY win a game we should have lost, instead of the other way around like the 2 weeks before. Really happy for this team to finally get that monkey off their backs. They've played so well the last 3 weeks and came really close to having nothing to show for it.

As much attention as the final drive by Schaub is getting, I think that punt return by Jacoby was as key a play as anything in this game. The two Miami TDs were really disheartening the way they played out (being fooled on the Wildcat formation and just the piss poor defense on that screen pass) plus the interceptions. That TD by Jones really swung the mometum back in our direction.
Most def. Special teams played a pivotal role in yesterdays victory. Andre Davis had a nice kickoff return himself also
I was finally able to turn the radio on about the last five minutes. When Schaub threw that INT that wasn't an INT, I almost turned the radio off.
Agree with everything you said.. except we need help in the secondary too! Dunta can't get back fast enough...and man I hope he is still on the same level as pre-injury (at least eventually)
Speaking of, has there been any word on his return yet? He is eligible to come off the PUP list week 6, right? Shouldn't we know something by now?
Any QB would look like a puzzy if they don't have confidence in their offensive line. Once our protection gets more consistent, starting with Brown, Schaub won't be as timid. Definitely better than RosenFAIL's spectacular choke last game!
