agreed. it seems to take Feldman a while to get in his groove...he tends to have 1 bad inning seemingly every start. As a reliever, that is crap. Velasquez is a flame thrower and fits much better in that role
Winner Winner Keuchel has some control issues today, but still worked through his typically good 6. Also good to get VV some work. Keuchel, Conger, Castro, Correa currently carrying club.

Bummer. So this is what the cycle looks like for me. Keuchel McHugh McCullers/Feldman (alternating starts) Fiers Kazmir While they alternate, other one is the long man in between starts.

Innings count shouldn't be an issue for Velasquez, he's only thrown 68 innings this year. He threw 124 in 2013. Don't see why they need to have him coming out of the pen in the minors. If anything he should keep starting so he's stretched out for next season. And why Corpus, is it just about proximity? He isn't in the minors to get better at this point, but I still figure you would want him facing the best competition possible. They know what they're doing, just seems strange to me.
Hinch said extended outings, so probably 3 and 4 inning stints. Don't really know what the plan for him for September and potentially the playoffs is though.
