As always, no PBP in the thread. If you need that try one of the game cast sites. Keep discussion to this series. If it is not about this series it goes somewhere else. 8-15 Rodrigo Lopez, RHP vs. Henry Sosa, RHP 7:05 on FSH 8-16 Ryan Dempster, RHP vs. Brett Myers, RHP 7:05 on FSH 8-17 Casey Coleman, RHP vs. TBA 1:05 on FSH
Another historic franchise that has been embarrassing themselves recently, but unfortunately they are playing very well. Edit: I wonder why it is TBA. Is Bud Norris hurt?
Are there any really good ticket deals out there for this week? I'd like to go to a game or two, for the right price. The $11 field box deal would be the ultimate, but I'll take what I can get.
I'd like to go too maybe once or twice before our season ends in September. Anyone know if the run specials on certain nights more so than others?
Sosa pitched well again tonight but the two out double to Soto was a killer. JMike shouldn't be on this team but nothing new there.
The best and worst of Myers in that inning... could've been far worse. The pitch to induce the DP was huge.
Sadly, this is him trying not to get fired. I wish they kept some stats on 3B coaches. I bet he'd be near the bottom.
I knew our offense stuggled badly in that series against LA but didn't realize it was the first time in nearly a quarter century that we were held to 1 run in a series. Remember how exciting things seemed just a few days earlier with all the youngins pouring it on? This is the flipside and there will be more of this than vice versa for quite a while so maybe we should temper expectations a bit for our own well-being next time they put together a batch of runs over 1 or 2 games.
Getting excited over these young guys reminds me of when people got excited for the likes of Mo Taylor and Moochie Norris for the Rockets.
Heh... my lasting memory of Moochie is when he lost his mind and made a layup on the wrong basket. I think it was an inbounds play at halfcourt... just turned around and thought he was on a breakaway.
