Please keep this to talk about the series. As usual no Play-by-Play, or general Astros talk. If you need play by play see one of the many other sites that have game casts. 10-1 Casey Coleman, RHP vs. Bud Norris, RHP 7:05 on FSH 10-2 Carlos Zambrano, RHP vs. J.A. Happ, LHP 6:05 on My20 10-3 Ryan Dempster, RHP vs. Wandy Rodriguez, LHP 1:05 on FSH
And so the season comes to an end Though we may not finish .500 as long as we GIVE IT to Zambrano (in his last start so he has to dwell on it all off season), it'll make up for the lost year
the Void approaches... go Astros. the only acceptable outcome is to destroy the cubs like the schoolchildren they are.
Even though we're not fighting for the playoffs, what in the world is Mills doing putting Norris out there for almost 120 pitches? There's no need for that, lol.
And he let him hit at 97 pitches with 6 walks and the bases loaded with 1 out in the bottom of the 5th. He GIDPed. Speaking of Bud... The Good: More than a K/IP. The Bad: More than a BB per every 2 IP.
Not long ago, 3rd place in the division looked to be our's. Now the Cubs are a game back and we need to win 1 of the next 2 to hold onto 4th. Does it matter? Not much...
Yeah, that was a head scratcher too. Using the same logic from earlier, why do you let him bat there? There's no point in doing that. Dude is up to like 500 pitches at that point and we have a chance to score runs. Mills doing his best Cecil impersonation
Happ havin' a Grade A stinker. Man, we've looked bad recently. CJ making a final push to take over the ML lead in errors for 3Bmen despite only playing in 93 games, including this one. Now the ball just slips out of Sanchez' hands as he tries to make only a slightly difficult throw. As far as Happ, I think his control issues as much as his lack of velocity are why a lot of people label him as an end of the rotation type despite some of the numbers he's put up in his relatively short ML career.
yeah... it's not been too good :\. I'd of liked to see us play better down the stretch. what are we... 3-12 in the last 15?
Random question: Do you think McLane will still own the team at the end of this rebuilding process, i.e., 2 or 3 or more years from now?
Not sure. I think he's getting near that point. A lot closer than he was 5 or 6 years ago. It's come up a little more in the past few years.
