Please keep this to talk about the series. As usual no Play-by-Play, or general Astros talk. If you need play by play see one of the many other sites that have game casts.

6-4 Carlos Zambrano, RHP (1-3, 6.12) vs. Felipe Paulino, RHP (0-7, 4.40) 7:05 on FSH

6-5 Carlos Silva, RHP (7-0, 3.12) vs. Roy Oswalt, RHP (3-7, 2.78) 6:05 on FSH

6-6 Ryan Dempster, RHP (3-5, 3.72) vs. Brett Myers, RHP (3-3, 3.04) 1:05 on FSH

An intriguing series. We have the Zen Master (Paulino) going in game 1 and followed by two favorable pitching matchups in games 2 and 3. I say we sweep using the above logic.

I am compelled to root against the Astros, because Drayton is exactly the type of person who will find whatever excuse to keep this team in tact.

This is the worst case scenario for Houston and winning makes this more likely.

Who would have thought in come June, Paulino would have an ERA better than Zambrano?

Can the Astros actually score runs for Paulino tonight?

In 7 of Paulino's 10 starts, the Astros have scored 2 runs or less.
The Astros have scored only 5 runs in support of Paulino in 6 starts COMBINED in the month of May.

Well we've scored some runs lately. Not sure if it's us or if it was bad Nationals pitching. Guess we'll find out soon enough?!

Just heard this is Carlos Zambrano's first start in 6 weeks. See how that works out or rather who that "favors".

    never have; never will.

72-90 is better than 62-100. Hell, 74-88 is better than 73-89.

That, and I freaking hate the cubs.

    Go Astros!!!

    what he said.

I trust that they will still see what is necessary

(and honestly that the team is bad enough that they'll lose their fair share...so i'll be happy with every win and hope they're all in-division and against the Braves!)

Honestly, if you're going to bring Z back to the rotation, is there a better team to do it against? During his prime he routinely made the Astros look like t-ballers.

Typical Z line against the Astros:
8 IP, 0 Runs, 2 hits, 1 BB, 7 K, and 1 HR. 1 HR that he hit, not that he gave up.

I'll throw up if he hits a bomb in MMP tonight.

We're not dead last in runs scored anymore. Despite being last in OBP and SLG, we have scored 3 more runs than the Pirates.

I find myself rooting for the team to score alot of runs or hit a bunch of home runs or pitch very well every game for about 7 innings. By the eighth i hope that that they blow the lead so we can stay in last place. I really want this team to get rendon in the draft next year. Hopefully the orioles manager firing puts a spark in them to win a few more. There is no reason why they shouldn't have a better record than us.
