For the record, I'm expecting something like 39-36 Texans. The defense will still keep disappointing and allow the 3rd team in a row to set a season high in scoring, but the offense will feast on the Colts poor defense and do enough to get the win.
In the overall scheme of the NFL, the Texans are obviously not an elite team. That being said, the AFC South makes us look elite. The Colts are a bad team, plain and simple, and we should win this game fairly easily.
The worst Colts defense ever? http://www.indystar.com/story/sport...e-watching-worst-colts-defense-ever/91861034/ The Texans D just need to do their part stopping the Colts offense.
Why should we win fairly easily? We needed a punt return, on our home field, to beat the Titans. There should be no expectations of an easy win.
Should, sure, but right now the Texans defense has been pretty awful so that'll give any team they play a chance. Of course, the Colts defense is one of the absolute worst in the NFL. If the Texans defense can go back to being even halfway decent then your prediction of an easy win should come true.
The Texans are terrible. A sadder fact is they're still the best team in the AFC South and it's not that close. Indy, Jax, and Tenn are all in worse shape than the Texans right now and that's saying something. I do think the Texans bounce back but this game is closer than it should be. I'll say 27-24 Houston
Colts have a poor defense but somehow end up looking like the '85 Bears on Sunday because prime time Texans.
And the Colts pass offense is much, much better than the Titans pass offense...something that we are likely to struggle against.
True. The colts have a great passing game. But I think the Titans are a better overall team than the Colts. They make up for their lackluster passing game with a lethal dual threat running game. Something the Colts couldn't even dream about. Remember the Colts with their pass offense couldn't get past the formerly winless Jags.
we will be up like 48 to 3 at halftime, smiling and cruising into the 4th quarter. Then, Luck happens, with 41 unanswered points. We come out alive because time expired with the colts at midfield.
Isn't calling this a "must win" a bit knee-jerky? Texans are MUCH more likely to improve by the 2nd matchup, and we'd still control our own divisional destiny. #longseason
Man I hope the TEs get healthy because Brock needs a safety valve and they would ride roughshod against the Colts D.
Fiedorowicz has really developed into a really good well rounded TE that is an offensive threat and a solid blocker.
So I understand Luck and Hilton, but the Colts defense?? Really?? Osweiler is going to shred them apart....not because he's good, but because they are just THAT bad. Not only is this a straight-up must-win game for the Texans, but it's a must-be-great game for Osweiler. Right now, the entire city and league is down on him, and this is a perfect opportunity for a confidence boosting performance. If he struggles even in the slightest, it's going to be a major indictment on him and this coaching staff. The Colts defense is epic in how bad it is. No pass rush, no coverage, no ability to stop the run. Bill O'Brien has to scheme his ass off this week, and come up with routes and packages that get the ball into our playmakers' hands early. This offense has shown nothing as far as creativity. That has to change this week. I don't usually delve into score predictions, but I'm going to give it a shot: Texans - 27 Colts - 17
