probably the best game I have been to all year. The 3rd base coach was doing this funky dance and the next thing you know suicide squeeze. There are a lot of cards fans in Houston. I would have to rank that the top fanbase or close to it.
Agreed. I don't think the end result would've felt as satisfying had there been more Astros fans than Cardinal fans in attendance. Feels good to know we may be the reason they stay out of the playoffs. Moe
The number of local Cubs and Cards fans are the number one reason Drayton/Crane should never move to the AL West.
The frustration has got to be starting to set in for St. Louis about now. Down 5 to the worst team team in baseball, and the club they are trying to catch is loosing by 6.
Within minutes of that post, the Cards got a 5 run inning to tie. And then of course, when on to win easily. Now the Cards have a degree of control over their own destiny. Win tonight, and the season continues. Lose, and fate determines the outcome.
tonight's game will be on ESPN2, it must be a record for being the largest amount of games between two nationally televised games in a season. We had our first game of the season against the Phillies televised on TBS, and now our last game of the year will be on ESPN2. That's a 160 game difference between nationally televised games.
With a ML-level defensive third baseman, that inning likely turns out entirely differently. An average 3B likely turns at least 1 of those 2 grounders into an out. A good one maybe turns both into outs and the Cardinals have 2 outs w/out a man reaching base. No big deal from our perspective since we expect it from the youngins but it sucks for those rooting against the Cardinals... and Myers.
There is a good turnout today. Despite being the worst team ever the Astros drew 25k a night. Houston supports It's baseball team .
Don't you just love all those Cardinals fans cheering in your ballpark? You can't take away those NL ties huh? Move this joke of a team already.
Unceremoniusly fitting end to one of the most miserable seasons that I have had to endure as a Houston sports fan.
