let's not go overboard here.....it's been almost as bad. same ausmus, same pitchers spot, and i'd still take anybody in the 7 hole over everett.

 

Compare the numbers. It's been far worse.

And, no, it's not the same Ausmus. Ausmus started out the year great and Everett was actually significantly better than Bourn/Towles.

 

On the bright side, Wandy continues to own Pujols.

Right into the nachos. Great hit and well timed.

 

5 of the 6 guys at the top of our lineup are hitting .283 or better.

The only guy who isn't has 12 HRs and 47 RBI and will likely end the season hitting at least .280.

It would be fantastic if we could just get some reasonable production out of either the 7th or 8th guy. In other words, just one guy out of Bourn, Ausmus, Quintero, Abercrombie, Towles (if he makes it back), Lofton?, etc...

If Bourn doesn't get it going by the halfway point, I say we start Erstad in center and see if he can produce as a regular.

 

Wandy is looking great. Let's hope we can get 2 more solid innings out of him.

 

Pooholes still can't figure out Wandy.

 

The Astros just called up Abercrombie from Round Rock. He should replace Bourn in CF.
