I think he's serious. DT is that Andre Johnson style receiver that will keep that corner on the edge from getting a tackle nearly every time. The guy may not be a burner or a home run threat, but he's a good possession receiver and a huge reason as to why the off tackle and outside run game has been so good in the last two weeks.
I think that's exactly what he's talking about, if you get solid blocking from WR's on the outside, you don't get DB's stopping run plays which opens up the outside.
Don’t forget when DT went to Georgia Tech all they did was the triple option so blocking was a huge part of what he did.
Also he's just about the same size as a TE, which absolutely gives him the advantage blocking DB's and some LB's
