Agreed. Odd choice playing white behind Alvarez.

Valdez throws a ton of groundballs, good time to put Yordan out there.

The baseball HoF should display a bronzed set of Ryan's balls but I don't think they would have a case large enough to hold them.

I believe the anniversary was yesterday, but yeah, he was perhaps the biggest baseball freak of nature ever on a pitching mound.

Can confirm. The HoF is an intimate place. Not enough room for Ryan's balls.

He also walked 10 guys and gave up a 2 run jack to Yastrzemski (after walking the leadoff man) in the 9th to send it to extra innings.

The first of three times that Ryan would strikeout 19 batters by pitching into extra innings. Oh, and they won this game against the Red Sox 4-3. Later that year, Nolan would beat them again with 19 strikeouts in a standard 9 innings.

And we turn a double play to erase the runner from the wild pitch strikeout!

Framber starting out with the four-out inning. Show off.

At least they made hard contact. Kalas gets so excited over any kind of contact

ETA: Framber was looking right at the runner as he started stealing

Joe West loves screwing the Astros. And he forgets that Biggio is actually playing against the Stros LOL.
