They find another way.... to take the lead. In the olden days, this statement would've been "They find another way.... to blow it"
He's a handy guy to have as the 25th man, good baserunner and can play average to above SS/3B/LF/CF. Unrelated, but it may be time to give Marisnick a day or 2 off. He's having a putrid month: .195/.233/.293/.525
Speed KILLS!!! Everybody harps on the HR's and K's... but speed is the main reason this team is winning games.
Villar plays average to above average anything? Anybody who botches routine plays routinely is not above average... And Marisnick could just be regressing to the mean... but I don't want to bring up that whole debate on what that means.

Yes, he's a very good baserunner, makes good turns, gets good jumps. He botches some easy ones and makes some spectacular ones. Has a good arm. I like what little I've seen of him in the OF, takes good routes. "Above average" was too much, I'll admit. I'm glad that yall can b**** about the 25th man, who we have no suitable replacement for yet. I'm stone cold sober, btw.
Well, there is a suitable one... if you're willing to give up the year of arbitrationt hat shouldn't be a factor anyways if they get the extension that they basically HAVE to get. Also, he's getting a lot of playing time recently due to the MarGo funk.... so he's not just the 25th man at this point.
No... but if they do, they wouldn't need to wait for the super 2 deadline to call him up. I'm saying an extension would likely be done eventually (doesn't need to be now)... and it likely would buyout the arbitration years... which also makes the super 2 deadline kinda superflous.
From Correa's perspective he has little reason to sign a deal right now. Already has that $5MM in the bank and probably has the confidence in himself to wait until he gets to the bigs to prove how good he is.
I agree with you on those points, but I am not optimistic that they can reach an agreement at this point.
Yes and no. He has probably $3,500,000 left after taxes. That is a lot of money but not compared to $70,000,000 or $100,000,000. I am sure the players association and agent will push Correa to not sign but I personally would... Correa could get hurt tomorrow and have to work a normal 9-5. If he takes a fair offer from the Astros, he will never have to work again regardless of what happens on the field. To me the real question is, would the Astros make a fair offer right now?
