Good. If you’re not mature enough to realize what’s at stake then I can’t help you lol. Saw a good quote earlier: “comparing these two candidates is like a flight attendant asking if you want the chicken or the pile of dog s**t with bits of broken glass in it...and you ask how the chicken is cooked”. There’s simply no comparison. If after nearly four years of trump you haven’t decided that a two-legged mammal with a pulse is a better choice, then there’s literally nothing more to prove. Let alone a standard democratic candidate who is warm to some of Bernie’s ideas. I’ll say it again, you were never actually a Bernie supporter if you don’t vote for Biden.
So why would Bernie attach himself to a party that is not much difference than the repubs and you do the same in turn?
he almost won the nomination fool, that's why. 3rd party has no chance and everyone knows that. to act like biden worked his ass off to "WIN" the nomination is a joke. it was handed to him via coordinated, major, list of events. don't act like bernie, the democrat, didn't win Nevada, Iowa, Vermont, Colorado, Utah, California, NH, ND, Washington, and many other states were very close. But he's not a democrat, please...
Bernie has less support in 2020 than in 2016. He ran out of stream and the reason he has a chance at all in 2020 was because of a crowded field. Biden health plan is way more progressive than Obamacare. That’s just one example of the Dem becoming more progressive. when you indicate that the Dem has become less progressive, what specifics agenda are you talking about?
Bernie faced much more establishment pushback in 2016 than in 2020. And yet he still, as I said, have less support in 2020. Anyhow, what about my other points: Biden health plan is way more progressive than Obamacare. That’s just one example of the Dem becoming more progressive. when you indicate that the Dem has become less progressive, what specifics agenda are you talking about?
He got a very defective change to heatlhcare that only wonks and folks like you who haven't used it, but it is ok for the plebes except for those who can't afford it, have too high deductibles etc. He got two moderate S.Ct judges, due to who retired or died which he had nothing to do wit. He got finessed out of another. Wow he got some national monuments. I hoped you have visited. Yes, he is better on the environment somewhat than than Bush and better than Trump. Obama as the great progressive much loved by moderates and a guy who accomplished much beside being the first black president (a significant accomplishment) is something we will have to overcome before we can have much progress. He is still behind the scenes trying to make the Dems as cautiously corporate as possible and he is the guy who foisted Biden on us. There are many non-progressive things Obama did. For instance , he foreclosed on hundreds of thousands of African Americans, when the money was already approved by Congress to prevent this. This was the greatest destruction of black wealth outside of his Ivy League classmates in a generation. He preferred to give it to the banks, with virtually no strings attached. And "no" he does not have his usual excuse of the Repubs were just too much for him. Fortunately he failed in his attempt to lower social security COLAS. He did manage to expand the drone wars and keep Guantanamo open.
I don't disagree with anything you've said here really ... but honestly , is the DNC really willing to give her ideology a platform or are they just using her (and Bernie) to consolidate that vote? Look at what they did to derail Bernie going into the convention with a plurality of delegates and a likely party nomination and the media was complicit. The DNC wanted no part of Bernie's (or AOC's) ideology. There are multiple Dem's opposing AOC for that congressional seat too .... Link NY 14th congressional district election The NY Chamber of Commerce has backed one of her primary challengers - Chamber of Commerce backs Michelle Caruso-Cabrera There was also talk of redistricting which would eliminate her seat because she's been so disruptive - Link NY Dems could eliminate AOC's district I can't buy the idea that they are "willing to give her ideology" a platform when they do this stuff. Use her ... yeah , I buy that.
There are multiple people going after any congressional seat, it doesn't mean the DNC is against AOC, just that those people think they can run for congress. Cenk Uyger ran for Congress and the DNC didn't support that at all. Of course the Chamber of Commerce will back anyone but AOC, that's no surprise. Your last link was from Feb 2019, AOC has made up with Pelosi and the DNC, we'll see if they are so against her holding that seat now Especially with Biden coming out and openly saying he wants to work with that side of the party, the last thing they should do is openly target the faces of that movement. I think she already has a platform too. Also, the DNC has already moved left thanks to Bernie, so they've already embraced these ideas. I'm not going to get into this DNC v Bernie thing, there should be no argument here for that, the DNC did nothing to sink Bernie's campaign. Bernie lost this primary fair and square, there is nothing wrong with the other Dems consolidating around Biden. Hell, it's what the GOP wanted its candidates to do to defeat Trump at the time.
Be honest - He isn't a Democrat. Nothing about his platform is Democrat. He's either an independent or a socialist .... running under the Democrat banner because its his only viable way of winning a nationwide nomination. Sure , a subset of Democrats like his agenda - particularly younger voters but they are by no means any form of a majority. He won those states because the field was so crowded with so called moderates. I don't believe he won a heads up race against any of Klobuchar , Biden or Buttigieg because of the sheer volume of spending he was talking about .... the moderate vote would have coalesced behind any of the above.
The DNC has given Bernies ideology a platform since 2016, There were multiple people running in 20/20 on Bernies platform. So now you are promoting a DNC conspiracy. Interesting. I don't remeber you ever doing this before, what changed?
want to address this here. I’m not sure where this idea came up that Sanders was going into the convention with a plurality of delegates and a likely party nomination. By the time Super Tuesday came up when Biden surged only around a quarter of the delegates had been decided. Sanders had the lead At the time but he nor anyone else was anywhere near going to the convention with a plurality or as the presumptive nominee.
I heard an interesting comment regarding the Sanders campaign and one of the reasons that was it's undoing. Mark Shields on the PBS News Hour said that "the campaign, especially supporters, wasn't welcoming of others. If you didn't agree with Bernie in past you were not welcome."
That makes sense, it goes hand in hand with his supporters wanting everybody to kiss their ass for a vote that is in their best interest. Where else have I heard of people voting against their self interest?
Biden opens up about stuttering and offers advice to young people who stutter By Kate Sullivan and Eric Bradner, CNN Updated 10:43 PM EST, Wed February 05, 2020 You know, stuttering, when you think about it, is the only handicap that people still laugh about. That still humiliate people about. And they don't even mean to," Biden said. https://www.cnn.com/2020/02/05/politics/joe-biden-stutter/index.html Maybe this guy is the one with the mental decline. His actions speak for themselves.
