This is what I don't understand. Luhnow's drafts have produced so many high OBP / low K hitters but yet he puts together a MLB roster of high K / low OBP players. Can someone explain this to me?
If not for the miracle comeback against the Angels last Sunday the Astros would be sitting on a 7 game losing streak looking for 8. Just an incredible implosion.

35 pitches seen to get through the last 12 outs for the Astros hitters. The bully is literally spitting the bit down the stretch while the bats are really pressing to try and make up for it.
Not against Doolittle. I wish Marwin were healthy enough to hit because he would be the guy to go to.
It always happens. They get ahead for an inning or two and then decide to start swinging for the damn fences (and swinging at everything).
makes a lot of sense. catch was so big that it made the hitters stop hitting the rest of the game. they need to fire every beat writer but mctaggart.
Even though people think this team is gangbusters at home... there have been quite a few home games like this over the last 2 months. They've won more of "these" games than the road version... but these sort of wins are always on the improbable/unlikely side and anybody will tell you that winning like this is not sustainable.
