"I'm proud of these guys. We were in position to win the game and played hard," Porter said.

Is this Dad's pitch or T-Ball?

Qualls & Sipp have been great this year, and they didn't get it done today.

    Go get 'em tomorrow.

"I'm proud of these guys. We were in position to win the game and played hard," Porter said, as he handed out pouches of Capri Sun and baggies of orange slices.

Pretty much this. Qualls got lit up, it happens. Sure is was a disheartening loss, but why is everybody freaking out like some unforgivable catastrophe just happened.

The big difference between this year and last year is, we expected it to happen every time last year.

Qualls didn't make some pitches that got hammered, but he made some good ones that just didn't provide the usual results: the chopper to Dominguez that took a funny hop, the almost DP ball to Singleton, the jam shot that Cespedes (dude is strong!) fisted into RF. It happens.

Seems like a good time to remind everyone that JJO and Brian Smith suck and should be fired.

When did JdJO start covering baseball again? I thought he got demoted to HS soccer or something?

I thought so too. Last night he was complaining about having to stay late. I only see this because others I follow felt the need to retweet him.
