Pressley surrendered the lead, plus 2 extra runs. He and Osuna have two losses during this losing streak. Oh well, everyone be healthy for postseason.
That's that. We knew Pressly's insanely low ERA wasn't going to last. For perspective, Brad Hand (extremely good numbers) gave up a run last night, and would have likely gave up another and blown the save without help from a phenomenal play from his outfielder. But man, just EVERYTHING going wrong for us. It's so frustrating. I know we've been spoiled, have injuries, etc. but SEVEN in a row? This just REALLY has not been our week.
White took a pitch down the middle like it was high and tight. Bad hitting and **** luck. Still seeing a long long winning streak in the near future.
Well, at least we finish the series with Verlander and we have the Pirates up next. We're still up 7 games on the Rangers, and I think we start a little winning streak soon. Positive thoughts.
It's been one of those road trips, can't do wrong right. Umps tonight along with some terrible fielding.
Rather have the 7 game losing streak in June than in September/October guys. Keep things in prospective. Everything will be alright.
Does Reddick have awful numbers against Britton or something? The Fox announcers were so busy blathering about things other than the substitutions I kept missing that there even were punch hitters while I fiddled with my phone.
Now is the right time for this to happen, but that doesn’t mean it’s gonna suck any less than it does. No one in their right mind thinks we’re anything less than an elite team. But man, I can’t wait to see that elite team again.
On a positive note: Michael Brantley went 3-4 to increase his average to .320 Jorge Polanco went 1-5, average fell to .324
The team will come around when it gets healthy. The thing I’m most concerned with is Alvarez continuing his dominance.
