Great article from Grantland on our win last night http://http://grantland.com/the-triangle/2015-mlb-playoffs-houston-astros-beat-new-york-yankees-al-wild-card-game/
He got about 5 or 6. He was putting right where he wanted, and Castro was doing some top notch presentation. Those 2 factors combined can buy you quite a few calls.
Not many, really. Keuchel was banging the corners all night. The umpire was on the money with the digital strike zone the whole game. Castro got a few calls but not that many.
Trying to be objective...there were some a handful of calls that Tanaka was not getting. Overall though the Astros are the one's who capitalized on Tanaka's mistakes, while the Yankees failed to do so against Keuchel.
Thanks Not too bad considering most umps miss a few/game, but it appears Keuchel is getting respect. The one I saw on replay wasn't nearly Glavine-bad.
Shame on the Astros for celebrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's only one game- and it's not like it's really the playoffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Shortly after the game was over, I read on ESPN (I believe), that over the course of the game, the Astros actually had more bad calls against them than the Yankees had.
