The Yankees aren't as bad against lefties as people think. Compared to all teams, NYY ranked 2nd in runs vs. lefties. They slashed .257/.336/.414/.749 against lefties, and were top 5 in hits against lefties as well.
Normally I would ease Gomez back into the lineup, batting him 7th or 8th, but honestly we have no solid clean up anyway. So I'm not sure it really matters.
Since the game is on ESPN, I wonder if it'll also be on ABC (ESPN affiliate) like the MNF Texans games.
Am I still living in the past too much if I wish strongly for the game to end with Beltran striking out?
What's funny is that no one in Houston will be watching the ALDS series on Thursday. I guarantee you 90% of the sports fans will be watching the Texans-Colts game.
I'm honestly thinking about trying to sell my Texans tickets just so I can watch the Astros game that night. I know Houston is a football city but the Texans looked awful yesterday and if the Astros win tomorrow night the bandwagon fans will start jumping on board even more.
Not me! I record the Rockets or Texans if they are playing at the same time as the Astros. Baseball is my number one sport.
