Only worry I've had throughout the season and thru these first two games is hitting with runners in scoring position. Have to be better... we have zero problem getting traffic on, it's getting them in.
I see an open mic right now. Maybe they will be on soon. Maybe they forgot Greinke in the tweet and this is his pre-game interview.
Didn't set the game to record because the MLB Network didn't have it listed in the listings over the weekend. Meant to set it up before I left today anyway and forgot. Now of course for some reason AT&T Uverse doesn't have the MLB Network listed in their app.
Astros had the second most RBIs with Men in Scoring Position, and are 6th in RBIs/AB with Men in Scoring Position. The Astros leave a lot of men on base because their arms get tired from driving in runners and throwing the ball around the horn after a Cole start.
Yeah, but it's been an issue in recent weeks. They have a guy on third with no one out in Game 2 and don't get him home with the top of the order due up?
that's baseball though. we can criticize a bunch of things in every game. but every game is different and so is every series. whether you win by 1 or 10, you just want to move on. i honestly don't think enough people realize how special this team is and the different ways they can win. last night the nationals had bases loaded with exactly 0 out. they were only able to muster up 1 run in that inning, which was a sac fly
The Astros are a special team, no doubt. But it's inexplicable to me that neither Springer nor Altuve can muster a sac fly in that situation. Springer's at bat was horrendous.
it can definitely get frustrating. lets just hope it continues to work out more often than not. and springer's explosion is coming. its only a matter of time
Before Game 3 starts, I just have to admire once again the job Will "Smith" Harris did to save us from a disappointing disaster in the 9th, that was absolutely magnificent.
We should also be glad that Will Smith found time on Sunday to help the Texans win as well, with 14 receptions, 217 yards and 3 TDs.
Didn't Springer have a horrible series in 2017 before going nutz in the World Series? I just can't remember if it was the ALDS or ALCS(I think it was the latter).
Agreed, he had some bad luck too. The Bregman slight bobble that prevented the double play, and the Maldy dropped foul tip for the 3rd strike. Those two happen that game is over.
Yeah he truly broke out in the World Series. Ridiculous performance he still wasn’t himself against the Yankees
It's something that happens to every team across baseball. No one has a 100% success rate. Is there any evidence that the Astros are dramatically worse at it than they should be? If you're going to freak out every time they fail, you're just going to freaking out a lot.
Yeah, I distinctly remember some chatter(by fans, not Hinch) about whether he should be moved down in the lineup. And then along came the World Series.
