If Game 3 is the focus, why not try Verlander in relief? Sure he can give you a couple of innings on two days rest? If it fails, you keep Miley/Urquidy fresh for Game 4 and you still have Cole for Game 5 on regular rest...
In the 2017 ALDS against the Red Sox, Verlander came out in relief of Morton with a man on, and immediately gave up a 2-run homer to lose the lead.
Not sure when game 1 would be if both stros and yanks win but I would imagine if Verlander goes game 3 then he may not be able to start game 1
I'd save Verlander for Game 4. I'd rather have him starting on 3 days rest than send Urquidy out there. And I sure as hell would never give the ball to Miley.
Game 1 is Saturday, so anyone who pitches today would be available on 4 days rest if the Astros close it out in Game 3.
Do you have MLB Network on your cable/satellite subscription? If so, you're in good shape. If you don't already have the MLB At Bat app, download it. In the app click on the menu and tap MLB Network. You'll select your TV provider and you'll need to enter the user name and password that you use for that TV provider.
Win Game 3, and there is no Game 4. Verlander then starts ALCS. If Astros get the lead, they will not play for tomorrow.
Thanks. I've already downloaded the UVerse app (not on there) and the FUBO app (signed up for a free trial) and it's not there either. Why does MLB make it so hard for people to consume their product sometimes?
It's been free all weekend if your provider carries it, don't think the MLB is interested in blacking out a huge chunk of their audience.
Damn. Thought I had MLB network this weekend so I wasn't worried about it. It was a free weekend. Reddit, what's up?
MLB wants you to use their app. Same with ATT Sports Net...you won't find them on the Uverse app, have to down the ATT Sports Net app.
gameday. lets get this series over with and root for minny to extend the series atleast a game take care of business and the ALCS starts Saturday with a fresh rotation. Go stros
bc that's how you get in trouble. burning bullpens is not what teams want to do. it's what they are forced to do bc they're usually losing or desperate. that's not the stros at this point which is a great thing the ability to use your aces in extended innings on normal outings is what gets you through the postseason. not burning them in games bc you are out of options
Sounds like a plan !! Drunk/high with naked beeeatches It's the playoffs. Supervisors should make exceptions
