Yeah, when you’re talking about keeping someone in check with a .875 OPS it’s pretty ridiculous. I think nearly all of the players in the league would take that OPS for their career...

 

I've always wondered why people don't just test this? There's got to some baseball-loving science person out there that could grab some baseballs every year and test them out, no?

IIRC, there was a thread here about this back then.

 

Ball was juiced back then. Ball is juiced now. MLB still shrugs.
