Did you guys see that hot-cold zone for Yuli where the entire interior of the strikezone was cold? And most of the outside was hot. That's messed up.
I know. Really popped out to me. IMO, that's a pretty big red flag going forward. It's been talked about how unorthodox his swing is, and while it covers areas that many can't reach, it also misses some key areas. That explains a lot.
Yuli and Chirinos in the middle of the order is not ideal. Chirinos over performing his expectations so far this year while Yuli under performing. Both hopefully will be more toward the bottom of the order soon once more help returns.
An upgrade at 1B would be nice. Smoak was my first choice, but he's on the 10-day DL with a quad strain. If he comes back healthy in 2-3 weeks (as expected), maybe he's still an option. Derek Dietrich is another option. With such deep lineups across the league, a light-hitter like Yuli who struggles inside the zone won't cut it.
