I love the Astros, and I know, we're badly injured, and we have been spoiled but ugh. Still very frustrating.
Ideally he'd be the one sent down to make room for Altuve tomorrow. But he's out of options. Trade chip. Hate to say it, I love him, great person, great clubhouse guy, did great filling in for Altuve. But just no room for him come the rosterpocalypse.
I mean, I think we're a little more critical here than your average fan, but, IMO, you're actually right. I don't think Kemp planned for this, but, man, when he started the hug thing last year, what a hook! That was brilliant Tony Kemp marketing. You've gotta have Kemp; he's so loving and lovable! Kemp's a plucky player that tries hard, and we like that, but it's not enough in the end, and we've had lots of time to observe it. Sucks, cause I was pulling for him. But, man, I bet it's sacrilege to your average fan to consider moving the lovable Tony Kemp. Personally, I'm kind of tired of the hugs thing, especially since it looks more and more, uh, salacious each time I see them do it.
Just fing frustrating. And, I looked it up: JV got a no-decision in his only other game vs the Reds. Hopefully he'll face them in 2022 and finally get that elusive win vs them. I want him to retire with at least one win vs every team.
I wouldn't say seeing DFA associated with him as a free pass, but his offense and defense overall provides some value.
