All series talk goes in here. Non series talk goes somewhere else. No PVP, that can be found from other sources if you need it. All games are broadcast on Root Sports unless otherwise noted.

4-22 Charlie Morton RHP vs. Blake Snell LHP 5:10

Glad that we don't face Archer at all. I'll be happy with 2 out of 3 considering Fiers, Morton and Musgrove have each been dealing with some minor struggles recently. If we can get a consistent 6 innings out of each guy I think that would be a great success for them.

So here's where the Astros stand as Week 3 of the season winds down...

Tampa Bay has only lost 2 games so far at home this year so this could be challenging series. I think it'll be a WLW (losing to the lefty, of course)

Also worth noting that Rays batters have struck out in 27.8% of their plate appearances (168 K, 605 PA) entering the weekend. They have the most strikeouts in the entire league.

I'll be at the game tonight. Looking forward to my first game since the wild card game 2 years ago.

    Astros, early start
    Rockets, later start

    Works out well.

Rays are a solid team, but we should take 2 of 3 even from their home.

what's crazy is it doesn't feel like they've hit as well as they are capable of up to this point

Really not even close to what they are capable of. They've been able to manufacture runs on the road and scrape by at home... should be interesting to see if the trend continues.

So off topic but the Astros are doing the ballpark pass again for May. it's $60 and you get tickets to every home game on Mondays - Fridays in May. I did the pass for April and every game with the exception of one Friday night game was in the lower level. It's a pretty awesome deal so if you plan on going to 3 or more games I would highly recommend it.

This is the optimal RHP lineup.

Rays are deceptive. They have some power--need to bring some offense this series. Worried about a let down.

LWW, but I think it'll be close..

Have they toned it down with the shifts? Seems like they know where every hit from the good guys will land.

I'd only be disappointed if we get swept. No shame in losing a series to an average to decent team this early in the season.
