Talk about the series here. Please no PBP in this thread. Been in the DH thread.
Tonight is not, Tomorrow is on FOX and Sunday is on FSSW. Also, the AtBat 13 app is free for the month of July (I know this was posted somewhere else but deserves repeating)
Ranger fan trash talk on Facebook will likely kill me. It's been enjoyable chatting with you all here.
Had friends suggesting Nelson Cruz's grand slam was payback for losing out on Howard. Suck it, Arlington.
He pretty much earned it on merit too, not just because we have to have one. If that rule wasn't there I kind of doubt he would have made it, but he is certainly fully deserving. I will admit he is looking a lot better than I was expecting
With a 2-2 count, Jimmy Paredes pulls out a bag of sunflower seeds and gets a mouthful and then strikes out.
Was anyone else really bothered by this at bat? The swinging strikes looked aawwwwffulllllll. Just terrible. He looked apathetic to the situation (but I won't accuse him of being apathetic, it just looked lazy). If you are going to take cuts like that with two runners in scoring position... I don't want to see you in the lineup. That being said, Krauss really had a great at bat, and he has just been seeing Darvish well tonight. Hopefully getting that gorilla off of his back in the form of RBIs will do him well. Dallas has looked smooth as well. The national credit that he is getting from the commentators is more than welcomed. So nice to hear "he is hitting his spots" and "he is getting first pitch strikes" than "the Rangers look uninterested in such a lower team".
Was this announcer abused by someone who occasionally balked? I mean this guy CANNOT let it go. Maybe he has some type of reverse foot fetish...
Mitch Williams is the announcer you're speaking of and he is as erratic with his announcing as he was with his pitching. I still like to listen to him though.
