Did you guys hear that Selig is thinking about expanding the playoffs? I love the idea. Some baseball purists (and Yankees fans) may not though. In a sport where certain teams have such a huge financial advantage (how much that translates to wins is another discussion), it would help level the playing field in ways that revenue sharing has largely failed.
Yes, MLB needs more teams in playoffs. Too many stadium completely dump their attendance because its so obvious their teams will not make the playoffs. Make the first series shorter so the post season isn't ridiculously long.
