Altuve's double had 106mph exit-velocity. Was also HOU's 56th consecutive game with a double - #2 all-time MLB history ('96 CLE - 75)
Nice that they were able to get the tarp on before the rain started. So many games get further delayed or affected because they try and play through the light rain, then it increases, then they try and squeeze one more out of it because of the game situation... but the play if obviously suffering at that point, then they finally call it.
Looks like the storm is a little over halfway through. From what I gather, the Astros guys are big on Playstation during breaks like this. Any OOTP players on this board?
I haven't played OOTP in probably close to a decade (about when I got married...what a coincidence!), but I was always much more into Front Office Football.
Yeah, I was referring to the Out of the Park (OOTP) baseball computer simulation game. I only bring it up because often times there are some really heated debates among Astros fans about how to manage the club. Nothing wrong with such debates in principle, but often times they get unnecessarily mean-spirited. I often think, can't we save the mean-spiritedness for the Astros' WS opponents and the Rangers? OOTP potentially provides a way for these argumentative fans to have a fun and objective competition that puts their baseball management skills to the test.
I used to play in an online OOTP league and an online Fast Break Basketball league(similar but for basketball) and miss it greatly. It's very addictive so I made a decision long ago to retire. I highly recommend it to anyone who finds it fun to pretend to be a GM. I also used to play in an online MVP Baseball league which was great fun as well.
Bregman slugging something. He and Beltran can most balance Correa's absence. The other hitters can't do much better than they've already done.
