This offense is going to look very different if both Springer and Correa are out for an extended period. Time to put Jose in bubble wrap
Probably just precautionary. He stayed in to finish out the inning. Maybe sits tomorrow, but I'd expect him back after that. Nothing like rain delays with no rain when your team is ahead and less than 5 innings.
I wish during these delays we could just listen to Kalas, Blum and Julia just talk about baseball. It would be infinitely more entertaining than Astros Bases Loaded.
http://www.intellicast.com/National/Radar/Current.aspx?animate=true Radar says its moving fast and is thin. This delay shouldnt last too long.
Julia is a 10. Natural lighting is horrible for her. Have you guys seen mila kunis in natural lighting? A 3 at best. dont get the hate for jules. After altuve to correa, julia to brianna is the astros best double play candidate.
Then what were the other 2 pitches, #3 & #4, which caught a lot of the zone? Here's the link: https://www.mlb.com/gameday/astros-...82#game_state=live,game_tab=plays,game=491582 After VV had him down 0-2, he came right back in the zone. Altuve was swinging at everything. The 5th pitch was great and it was just Tuve being Tuve somehow getting bat on ball. Then VV came right back in to the heart of the zone and got mashed down the line. So, 3 mistakes out of 4 pitches (3, 4, and 6 all right over the plate) when you have a guy down 0-2? Umm..I guess we'll just agree to disagree. The kid is tough as nails, he's got great character, he's been through an immense amount of adversity, and he has a great arm. But he's still learning to pitch, not throw, and it shows. Just IMO.
For sure. Is it still not even raining? We were about to blow up Velasquez too. That's good to hear about Jorge.
It is called bad control, though he threw the fastball right past him down the middle. Altuve wasn't swinging at everything. He swung at balls in the zone except for the high fastball. He had walked the previous AB. All those pitches were supposed to be outside, but VV lost the ball arm side. The 4th pitch was the same pitch in almost the exact same location that Altuve had swung and missed at earlier.
