Ken Rosenthal on MLB Tonight just said that the Astros could add another reliever as soon as tonight.
Giles is a great move now Sipp is a must to really have a great bullpen. Sipp, Kazmir and maybe Mourneau and we are set.

Reality of big league baseball. Great Prospects make for great bait. Suck for those who have a gut feeling that Veasquez is a diamond in the making. But you can't play'em all..... But as the old saying goes, it s better to have one bird in hand over two in the bush.
Yes, but not overly concerned, to be honest. It appears we're "selling high" with him. He really put together his best season (or part of a season) at AA last year. His minor league ERA was mid 3s otherwise. Yes he has great stuff and perhaps he puts it all together, but you have to give up quality to get quality, as we know.
Not sure how I feel about this. Focus should be on Sipp and another set-up man. Giles is projected to be the closer, but you won't be going to him in the 7th, 8th innings in close games. Sipp + one more set up man pls.
Go get Mitch Moreland! Solid if not the best defensive first baseman with staggering pop and bargain price. Git R Dun!
what would be the reasoning for not bringing back Sipp? glad to hear lunhow is still has him on their radar, for awhile it seemed like a forgone conclusion that we would let him walk.
I'm pretty content with the same SP rotation as last year, given we resign Kazmir. Now that we have a closer, I'd rather go after a bat, specifically 1B or 3B. And I'd rather sign one than trade away prospects.
I'm worried about the division...the Rangers will get Yu Darvish back, who is a true ace, to pair with Cole Hamels. That's as good as a 1-2 punch as you'll find. At a minimum we need Kazmir back, at best we add another #1 or #2 to pair with Keuchel.
I'm pretty sure that was a diss... Like I would rather play for the 100 loss Astros than sit on the bench for this team.
