[Official] Astros Offseason Thread

Some of Stassi's family members sat behind me at a game I went to in Oakland. Didn't talk to any of them but they all sounded very nice.

 

I predict Houston will make 2 moves this week.

 

I've lived in GA for Chipper's whole career. His played A ball 15 miles from my house. He was a beloved baseball icon here.

I hated Chipper. He was the face of the franchise I had to consistently watch us lose to. He stole Bagwell's 2nd MVP in 1999. With that I've never doubted he was a HOFer. He was the best 3B of my generation. On par with the greatest offensive 3B of all time.

 

Braves talk? Have yall brought up Walt ****ing Weiss yet? Or Glavine's strikezone?

 

No but Ken Oberkfell is rounding third and Mark Lemke just dropped a deuce on home plate.

I wonder if Otis Nixon still thinks he is playing "Where is Waldo".

 

Otis Nixon is still so coked up he plays "Where's Waldo?" every morning/afternoon, then he remembers he's looking for his phone, while he's talking on it.

 

Astros offseason won't get interesting for a little while longer. 1999 sucked.

I completely have a mental block on this and don't remember it at all. On the odd side, how often did Eusebio hit into a hard force out and not get doubled up?

 

I can remember watching the game. He hit that ball and you knew we had just won the game. Then you wondered how it was possible that ball didn't get out of the infield. The answer was that it wasn't possible. Walt Weiss merely bent time and space to make it possible.

I predict one happens on Friday when teams have to offer contracts to arbitration eligible players. Mike Fiers will not receive one.

 

I predict pitchers and catchers will report in 79 days.
