I'm not sure if a second baseman in normal position could have gotten that hit. Probably would've been close. But, man, that gaping hole on the right side due to the shift. That's gotta make pitchers uncomfortable and annoyed.
These are those frustrating games that make you forget how good this team is. 667% is crazy high, but a game like last night and today can make you forget all about it until the next win. Luckily the Orioles are coming to town.
Not at the moment. I'm cool. Sorry if I offended, I'm a little salty today. Got stung by about 6 wasps yesterday and my right hand is swollen up like an old-timey catcher's mitt, or a boxing glove covered with human skin. Benadryl sucks, and it's not helping.
See, if Brantley or Marisnick just catch it, Verlander doesn't throw 10 extra pitches. 10 extra pitches, maybe he goes 7 or 7.1 instead of 6.1 innings. Then Bill or whoever gets a clean inning start and none of this ever happens! Just ****in' with ya but really...
They're tired, and the scrubs that are supposed to soak up the middle innings were so bad last night that Hinch pretty much had to go to his good but tired guys. I would argue that pulling JV in the middle of the inning was a bad choice, because JV knows how to finish off a slightly troublesome inning even at the end of his start. I'm still blaming Guduan and Rodgers for this game.
Rough approximation from first page of search results seems to be about 2 posts about bullpen for every one post in this forum about something else. Granted, a lot of the bullpen posts are back and forth over a short period of time.
White simply hits w ZERO pop. His exit velocity has to be one of the worst in the league. There ya go blanco grande!
