I would like to see Marwin Gonzales play twice a week. Soon.

5 loses in row would not be good at all.

Hell of a throw by Yuli.

eta: but I do love pistachios

eta2: Stassi gets a HUGE gold star for blocking Cole's curve that bounced halfway to the plate, with runners on

We’re well on our way to another loss with this lineup not able to do anything. Come is dealing but we have to do more at the plate.

Just how well do you have to pitch as an Astro starter to get a win these days?

This offense is insanely bad tonight... Paxton had a 85-90 pitch count and he is on pace to pitch a complete game shut out

And trade after trade is for relief pitching when our issue is clearly hitting...

I do think the hitting issues will resolve internally when Altuve and Correa are back whereas the bullpen issues had to be addressed through trade. I would like to see us trade for a bat of some sort though.

Altuve and Correa won’t change the fact no Astro in 2018 besides them George and Alex (our 4 stars) can’t hit above league average.

We are top heavy; our 5-9 hitters this year aren’t good. Kemp might be but jury still out to some degree...

There are other Astros hitting above league average. But I agree with your point.

No excuse not to trade for a bat.

I think the AAA team needs to hold a team meeting. And I'm not even sure who I'm talking about, but someone is not delivering talent.

Yuli hitting nearly .300 still even while being in a slump = not above league average.

    Hmm... interesting.

On a whole though I agree. Marwin, Reddick, Gattis (save for one hot month) have all been really bad. Not to mention Springer has looked a shell of himself.

It's gotta suck pitching for this team right now. No margin for error. This could be another loss for a pitcher who has been dominant for the team.

2 outs: CB middle meat, CB middle meat (base hit); 88mph puss to Cruz (ripped for a 2B)

    That escalated quickly.

I'll be absolutely shocked if Astros get another hit much less a walk.
