I'd like to think that they're considering recent performances when deciding who goes today to make room for Lance. Martes and Paulino have simply been better. Musgrove has been, at best, mediocre all season. I'd rather go with those that are performing now and give him a chance to go get his mojo back in AAA.
I understand weekday games starting at 7pm, seattle time. I understand that. The hardworking people of seattle making a living fishing or chasing vampires around deserve to get home and watch the national pass time at a decent hour. I get that. But we talkin' bout' Weekend games! not week day games. Weekend games! Is a 5pm start on a saturday too much to ask for? Are mlb schedule makers on bath salts!!?? It will be nice to Lance Mc on the mound again. Musgrove doesn't get a few calls that should go his way and it completely unravels soon after. Maybe another year for him to learn how to pitch through adversity as sparks calls it.
Hurry back PeaCocky, Jankowski blows. Joe is where he belongs. It was clear he was going down, Hinch knew it during the game.
http://www.espn.com/mlb/player/gamelog/_/id/34848/joe-musgrove Looking at his game logs, I see: (2) - Great outings (3) - Good/Decent outings (2) - Fair outings (6) - Bad outings
What's the issue with Asher Tolliver? I get why he was sent down one day after his only (decent) outing, because they had to use him for about 4 innings after another early hook. Why though has he not had another chance, we have had Diaz, Guduan and Jankowski all up and down since then, surely Tolliver deserves another go around?
You know its so crazy, that a person needs a certain dynamic to really call games. Kalas has it and although Esch is very, very knowledgable of the game, he just flat out sucks at it.
