If they make the playoffs, we should all celebrate. That's an accomplishment that shouldn't be taken for granted by any Astros fan.

Right....at least one person mentioned that in the comments section of Stark's article.

If you would have told me in April that it would come down to one series against Arizona I would take it... Been an amazing year and I'm hoping we can finish it out strong.

Anybody else kinda hate the fact that our last series is an interleague series? I feel like all teams should play division rivals for the last series. Plus Gattis is useless for these 3 games outside of a pinch hit or 2

    Rangers vs Angels
    M's vs A's
So that leaves the Astros out playing a division rival.

    Gattis out...

15 teams in each league, so there will always be at least one interleague series. Can't be avoided.

Good read on Grantland if anyone wants to read it. It's titled: So uh, what happened to the Astros?

It bothers me more that were stuck playing an interleague game more than it does not playing in the division. It's kind of not fair for an AL team to have to go into a NL park for the last series of the season with the playoffs on the line. Spare me the "real baseball" stuff. The fact is that we're the only AL team forced to bat our pitcher this weekend.

It would definitely be a lot better if the games were being played in Houston.

This is a park where hitters see the ball well. I like our chances. And whoever fills out the lineup card, solid handwriting skills. That looks like a professional.

Rasmus hitting fourth...interesting. Hopefully Gomez feels better REAL quick. He's definitely someone we could use in the lineup even though he can be so polarizing at times.

so...this is the most important series since our "home" games in MIL vs. CHC, right?

    It's only 98 degrees!

I was watching the college kids last week, think it was Arizona State, and after like 5 minutes of play they were all drenched in sweat and panting. Looks like tonight will be the same deal.

Ironically, a hurricane could again affect the Astros schedule. It's possible that Hurricane Joaquin could force the AL Wild Card game to be pushed back a day. That would mean Keuchel could go on normal rest. Winner would have to leave that night for the start of the ALDS on Thursday but it would solve our rotation woes.

I really wish Gomez was healthy... I'd much rather see Jake in left than Tucker. Might be the only one that thinks that though.
