How about this thread: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=215319 He finished dead last for should make the rotation. The Astros even took Harrell out of the running for the rotation early in the spring. He didn't even get a start in ST until Norris had to skip a start. Harrell threw 5 scoreless and was back in the running.
well, it is, but, there's enough intrigue in it i suppose. also, seeing "DH" makes me nauseous. that is all.
Please tell me someone else is watching this game and can hear the douchebag Cubs fan who keeps laughing loudly and taunting Wallace when he's up to bat. This is why the Cubs can't have nice things. Jackass...your team is down 3-0. by the way...went to Coors Field last week and saw a Rockies/Cubs game...I can confirm that Cubs fans in Colorado are every bit as douchetastic as they are everywhere else they congregate. I won't miss you, Cub fan.
Maxwell and Barnes throwing a Namaste bow to one another at the end of the game Arian's influence. oh, and eff you, cubs. go for the sweep tomorrow to close out the season...and 50 years of NL play. I'll be watching from my office.
According to Zachary Levine, this is the first time that the Astros have had 3 shutouts since 1986. Which three pitchers from the 1986 season were involved in this feat?

i saw. was getting a kick out of the laughing, actually. couldn't make out what he was saying though.
Today was also the first meeting between two 100 loss teams since 1962 when the Mets faced the Cubs (the last time the Cubs had a 100 loss season). Anyway, here's to sweeping the Cubs and only equaling last years record for futility instead of eclipsing it.

Just twice. The first shutout was to eliminate the Brewers. Jason Castro has a .831 OPS against righties, but .360 against lefties.
Perhaps you were thinking about how Knepper had a 5 inning perfect game the last game of the season and then was pulled. Also, in the Deshaies game where he struck out the first 8, Lasorda pinch hit for the pitcher to make it harder to get the 9th even though it was only 2-0 in the third.
I had a Topps baseball card in '87 that highlighted Jimmy D's 8 consecutive strikeouts to start that game.
