LOL No He sucks, he has sucked for a long time now. The Astros gambled that he had a few good starts in him and they were right, but he has now overstayed his welcome.
No, he has no stuff at this stage of his career, he is more a number 12 pitcher in your staff than a number 5th starter or reliever that is going to pitch from 6 inning on with a lead
OK then I've changed my mind. dude is a scrub. He should not be in the rotation at all. Keuchel Pretty much needs to pitch complete games before this guys starts so we have a rested bullpen for the 3rd inning on.
5-2 because we've scored 14,7,6,6, and 10 runs in the 5 wins. Yeah he's bad, but he won't be in the rotation soon. At this stage of his career, he's really just one of those innings-eating pitchers.
So he sucks but yet the Astros throw him out there.... That's that logic right there... They see something in him regardless of age and there are many pitchers whom develop into bullpen arms late in career. Helps in longevity.
Let me show you something interesting and let's see if you can guess whose career statistics these are. <script type="text/javascript" src="http://widgets.sports-reference.com/wg.fcgi?css=1&site=br&url=%2Fplayers%2Fc%2Fcarmofa01.shtml&div=div_pitching_standard"></script>
But yet he still finds work! lol Wanna know why? Because the team still see's something in him. I'm just saying things can change for pitchers late in their own careers but thanks for providing his long track record in the majors. Appreciate it.
Oh, so you're justifying why he's still taking up a roster spot. Why, I have no clue, but it's whatever. Your initial observation was this: So I guess you changed the argument so it favors you.
