he could flip the bat all he damn pleases. it's idiotic, but not directly hurting the team. staring at a fly ball and not busting out of the box is a horse of a different color. his depth perception from the offensive vantage point of the field seems to be about the same of alan ashby's.
Springer must be nursing something, hence all the recent DH games. Hamstring problems in the past. Don't need another extended time without him due to a fluke injury.
Hinch said pregame that Springer "has a bug", and is playing at 90-95% right now. Just wanted to give him a slight break due to the heat.
Back to Gomez. He looked really calm during his last AB where he hit the HR. He finally didn't look like he was trying to tear the cover off the ball.
