I don't get why he doesn't bunt the runners over. Should have had to bunt. So many things can happen with runners 2nd and 3rd and one out
Toro has 75 MLB ABs... wanna know how Bregman was doing at that point? Toro .213 Avg, .304 OBP, .681 OPS, 2 HRs Bregman .169 AVG, .235 OBP, .469 OPS, 0 HRs Tucker was just as bad as Bregman.
I know not everyone is Alvarez. But, Toro just doesn't strike me as having the "it" factor Bregman, Correa, Tucker, etc have (and he was never as high-rated a prospect as any of the other 4). Not being a hater, just saying what I see.
Nah, they have 143 this year so far. No way they're catching the incredible 158 they put up last year. And they were still well-short of the 174 the 1990 Red Sox put up to set the all-time record.
Bunting is hard, especially against a major league pitcher. I've come to accept that. However, I've also come to accept that almost nobody even ****ing practices it anymore. The bunts I've seen players attempt this year wouldn't pass little league muster. And the Astros just don't bunt; I guess that's part of the game plan. But I do lament the loss of options that brings to the modern game.
Really Ausmus? Another pitching change. The Angels 8th pitcher of the game coming in. What is the even the point of all these changes?!
