On paper, it seems pretty huge as his bat is likely replacing an average to below average bat. In addition, Gonzalez is back to giving people rest instead of Davis. With the SPs besides McCullers looking healthy, feels like this team is going to continue to improve.
The post I replied to was talking about fielding. So my response was about fielding. Which, IMO, doesn't seem like a huge change on paper.
I know Gonzalez is in a slump, but I would like for him to be in the lineup every game over the other options.
Man, if you're an Angels fan, you are about cussing up a storm by now. A questionable 3rd strike on Pujols, a balk, and a Valbuena error? SMH.
Our guys seem to be hitting the ball harder which is a good sign. Springer needs to get rid of that wild swing that leaves him on his knee and is making him pop up. However, his eye is still good, and that's a good sign. He'll start to drive it more as he forces pitchers to pitch to him.
So, that balk might not have been called if Bregman didn't turn his head around? The ump looked like he was asleep at the wheel there and only woke up after Bregman looked at him. I didn't see Bregman say anything to him.
Good STROPOLL question tonight. Which of these pitches is hardest to hit? A) 100+ MPH fastball B) SLIDER/CURVE C) Knuckleball D) Change Up Each might depend on the pitchers' other arsenal though.
