Since, in your opinion, the team won't be competing for a playoff spot until 2018, shouldn't they find out what Paredes can do on an every day basis? And if he is garbage, doesn't that play into your thought that the Astros need more prospects because if he contributes to losses, they have a higher draft position? To go further, if he truly is garbage, you have to remember that he was one of those prospects that you crave that the Astros traded a veteran for.
Why would we? We have Dominguez playing 3rd, and I'd be just as happy with Laird coming back up if Dominguez got injured.
Considering the May that Dominguez has had, I would be hard to imagine anyone getting a chance to take time away from him. If he starts drawing walks and gets that OBP just a little higher, he may become untouchable himself unless its for a "blow away" type trade along with Altuve and Castro.
